God created free will...therefore he created the ability for people to be atheists and theists. Some choose one path, the rest choose a different path.
The way I see it is who realy knows? In South Park it was the Mormons!
Could anything have always existed?? The simple answer to this is no, it couldn't. Time moves in a linear form, so nothing can have always existed. So surely everything that has every existed must have had a beginning, non? So, space for example must have had a beginning. But, if true, then what was there before space. The same question represents its self when we consider God. God had a beginning, so before his beginning, there was no God. So, what created this God?? Well, nothing but the God its self could have created this, according to the Bible, but as we have already discovered, you can never get something from nothing. It is simply illogical. God may have created all sorts of things, but he could hardly create himself before he had a self to to create with. So, this leaves us with only one probability, that God, did not create himself, and that he has always existed. But, wait! Everything that exists/existed/will exist has had or will have a beginning. Ergo, there is no God. Not really that complicated. Again I had fun.
I like Sophie's world, tis a good book, yeeees it is.
I was just joking lol, but on a real note, time isn't linear, space and time can be bent so in other words time is in a loop, so in a sense there was never a beginning and there is no end.
Time in space is different depending on the mass of an object warping space, example time is slower and even stops near things with great mass like a black hole, even large bodies like Jupiter, scientist did a test they placed two clocks one in space and one on earth and the clock in space ended up being faster because it was father away from earth's mass.
There are things we really cant comprehend fully no matter how hard we try and I think time is one of them.

Time moves in a linear form, so nothing can have always existed.
Most gods exist outside of time. They created all things (mostly the monothesitic God) and time is just another one of their creations. According to you time is linear. So im suspecting if it has a beginning and an end we can liken it to a line segment. But lines themselves have no beginnings or ends and they are a basic principle in Mathematics. They are also a physical representation of some natural occurence. So are circles they are infinite. so in all fairness if these simple drawings and representations can be infinite then some intelligent being can also be infinite. Again according to some people matter and energy always existed and if that is the case, the same goes for an intelligent being. So lets not give the universe or multiverse any limits.
God created all things and gave all people a choice. In all fariness if he decided to only create people that ended up in heaven then he is automatically removing the choice of everyone else that never existed, in essence he is filtering and judging before we have done anything and thus eliminating choice
They go by selfish instinct and impulse much like a Satanist. Nonetheless, they consciously of no affiliation and don't give the slightest thought to a God (and thus don't 'doub't God either).
Atheism and theism in their most basic sense is merely the presence (theist) or absence (atheist) of a belief in a deity(s). Do newborn children possess a belief in a god? No. Atheist by default then.
Nope you are completely and totally ass backwards wrong to the highest extent of universal incorrectness and your incorrectness can be blamed on nothing more than your failure to be knowledgeable on the English language in other words ignorance :P
Even if that were true, so what? You obviously know we aren't talking about spoons... If what you said was based on any truth whoopdie freakin doo we can call spoons and rocks atheists...
You do not need to doubt gods existence to be an atheist until you understand the concept of god, to not have a belief in god after knowing the concept of god requires as much doubt as it takes to not believe in unicorns.
A dictionary defenition is typically societies defenition, when a debate becomes clouded by semantics it is more essential to understand what the other is trying to say and not what others think they are saying. There are multiple dictionary defenitions for the term atheist/atheism.
This online dictionary defines atheism as a lack of belief and ironically VERY biased towards theists, stereotyping us as haters of religion, and even it defines atheism as a lack of belief.
Heres a more professional site describing the difference between weak atheists and strong atheists. Weak atheism is the broader defenition of atheists meaning to lack belief in god.
The reason a lot of dictionaries define atheists as strong atheists only is due to the positive atheist being the stereotypes of atheism, we make a VERY small percentage of the world population so its no surprise that the stereotyping of atheists shows up in your average dictionary. What I find funny is society will define the prefix A- to mean not or without and even quicklier to define theism as a belief in god, but when put together let's just throw all consistency in the English language out the window and have atheist mean denial of god. It shows how biased our society truly is.
Now I have not only given you an alternative dictionary definition of atheism opposing yours (showing that there truly is no official meaning for anything) from a dictionary stereotyping atheists in other ways, I have also given you a more "official" defenition of atheism opposing your defenition, given you the only definitions really used for the prefix A- and theism.
Let me ask you this? Why are you so determined to fight me on this? You can redifine the words all you want by getting alternative definition from other dictionaries but it the situation will stay the same. It is what it is and you can't change reality by redefining it, a baby is born with a lack of belief in god that's the point here, and if the majority of atheists define their atheism in a certain way fighting us on that is a pointless war that does nobody any justice.
You are saying a newborn baby is an agnostic (meaning weak) atheist.
Exactly
The baby is any kind of atheist because it neither doubts nor asserts God.
You can repeat things over and over all you like without actually refuting anything, it won't make you any more right, and it only makes you seem to be the one in denial and delusion.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." - Albert Einstein
You do not need to doubt god if you never heard of god to be an atheist, and asserting god would make you the opposite.
If anything the newborn is an apatheist, but 0% theist or atheist. apatheist
When you break down the prefix A- you get non- so Atheism = nontheism. In other words if you are not a theist you are technically an atheist. Apatheism is just another form of atheism. In my book whether you call yourself a "pure agnostic", apatheist, etc, if you aren't a theist in any sense then you are an atheist. The relationship between the two terms are binary. Atheism to theism is like non-blue to blue, whether it be green, yellow, orange, grey, black, white, or even clear if its not blue its not freaking blue. You can only be an atheist or a theist, because atheism describes anything that is not a theist, you can't be neither. To not be a theist automatically makes you an atheist and to not be an atheist makes you a theist by double negative, so by being neither you claim to actually be both. So since babies are 0% atheist and 0% theist does that make them 100% theist and 100% atheist? That's like saying "this color is not blue, but its not not blue". It's just plain ridiculous.
If that's so, then So are you... We both pulled up dictionary defenition. That oppose each other. If anything you were being intellectually dishonest, by trying to redefine all atheists as something most don't claim to be. If you consider your dictionary defenition the true defenition then you are denying my dictionary defenition (which by the way I backed up with the defenition of weak atheism, and the prefix and main word defenition combo making it arguably a stronger case.) Making you a cheater. So are we both cheaters or are neither of us cheaters which is it?
God created even the wicked for the Day of Trouble so that His glory may be seen through the destruction of those who have been made for dishonorable use.
God is great and loving and wonderful and nice and caring for all of His elect in the absolute! God is great ad loving and wonderful and nice and caring for all of His creations in a more limited sense.
The Day of Trouble shall come and all those who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved!
Well based on what atheists know ( notice I don't use the word 'believe' ) I don't think they would have done so. IS WHAT A STUPID PERSON WOULD SAY, nah I don't know, but I would have thought the government/ rulers of the time kept religion for so long because it's something to keep the people happy, to keep them under control. Or, people just invented religion because they couldn't answer the big questions like "where do we come from" and " what is the world made of" e.t.c. Which Parmenides, Anaxagoras and Democritus, the first 'natural' philosophers decided to try and work out ( some ways successfully, others not! ) It is also worth noting they were all atheists. So to answer your question, no God did not create atheists, but atheists did create God. besides, if there was no God/deity in the first place of any sort, everyone would be atheists. Well, not exactly atheists, because before a God, there would be no theists, thus no atheists. Tricky business oui? But atheists created God... Unless you go back to a time before there was a God, yet people still believed in giving offerings to the rain forest because of their superstitions. But that's around 7,000BC so it's a little hard to determine what people thought then..! I had fun here!
Let's say there is a god, even then he didn't create atheism he may have created humans, but humans having their own minds have made the decision to form an idealistic thought that their is no god. That's like saying god created grills, or that he created pills. so no...
How do you know this deity created humans? You've already made an assumption, one that the rest of your argument is based on. You have only set up a hypothetical scenario of a deity existing, not what the characteristics, powers and/or limitations of this deity may have or what this deity has done.
I don't know i truly know nothing only mere assumption, but if i was to enter the debate with the thought of him not creating humans i would have just said no god didn't create atheists due to the fact that he didn't create humans. The question "Did god create atheists," implicates that he created humans why ask a question about humanitie's creations if you think god didn't create humans, the asker would have immediately known that he didn't create atheism i'm basing my response upon the question not my beliefs. I have no need of using bias oppinions to answer a question someone has with a different idealistic mind.
A deity could have created the atheism and slip it into the minds of humans (and/or force their mind to be atheist) without having to create humans.
For a hypothetical scenario when assuming an extraordinary claim, all extraordinary claims that can be logically associated with it are also up in the air.
This is why I mentioned the assumption you have made.
That his highly unlogical, that statement you have established nothing, him having an unlimited amount of powers means that it could be a probability that you yourself isn't typing right now it's him forcing you to do so, and you walking isn't truly you it's him controlling your nervous system. Rather disputing my opinion of the question why not answer the question for yourself? So riahlize, Did god create atheists?
When accepting something as "extraordinary" as a deity and comparing all the different deities believed to exist, it is certainly logical to find it possible that the deity could have only created the concept of atheism for humans. Deities have all sorts of limitations or described as the epitome of a concept.
that statement you have established nothing,
I've established that your argument presupposes a specific deity which created humans without having stated so. God therefore humans is not a valid argument, even hypothetically.
him having an unlimited amount of powers means that it could be a probability that you yourself isn't typing right now it's him forcing you to do so, and you walking isn't truly you it's him controlling your nervous system.
When was it established here in our debate that this deity is omnipotent? This is actually what I was attempting to get out of you. In your initial argument, your only descriptive of a deity was that one exists; this means everything about this deity is unknown, including what it may have created. UNLESS you set up your hypothetical scenario to include a specific deed or characteristic of this deity, such as creating humans. And THEN you can carry onto your original argument.
Rather disputing my opinion of the question why not answer the question for yourself?
Because the option to dispute your argument is available and I have an objection to your argument, therefore I'm going to use the option to dispute your argument.....?.... I am not obligated to actually answer the debate question if I do not want to, I have the option to support, dispute, clarify or report an individual or multiple arguments in a debate as well as respond to the actual debate itself. Why, is this a problem for you?
So riahlize, Did god create atheists?
That depends on the hypothetical god we may be discussing. Any deity that is believed to have created everything in existence, certainly would have to have created atheists, otherwise "everything" doesn't really apply.
The question doesn't ask what type of god is it, nor did it ask his abilities it simply asked whether or not he created atheists. It doesn't bother me i find it odd that you don't realize i answered a question i didn't feel like stating my own beliefs while you on the other hand dispute the flaws of why my opinion isn't concrete due to the fact of me not having substantial evidence of what kind he is and what he can do. If i was to go into that type of depth i would merely say he is a god who created life and let it play out on it's own.
Because I try to create debates that messes with people's heads. A debate where they have to stop and think of the implications. Debates that are inherently ironic. ;)
If a personal god does exist then the answer is yes, if a personal god doesn't exist then the answer is no. There is no reason to think any god exists.
No, but we, as a species, did evolve the capacity for religion. Therefore, having religion must have given us some kind of competitive advantage. That's why I believe in God, and that he created men, including atheists.
Nope, Atheism is the result of doubt in the Lord. It is not a new religion, it is the absence of it. God created Humanity yes, but this belief just existed on by its own freewill
What I do not understand is this. What athiest would think a non-exsisting god/all-father created them? What Christian would think that god didnt create them?
It's just Athiests vs Christian fight, and whoever has the most people win
