Would you rather…be raped, or come off as pushy? Tough question, right? Sure, maybe you think you’ll be able to say, “It’s not you, it’s me,” while running from that dark alley, but a majority of rapes are committed by someone the victim knows. This makes it all the more important that he doesn’t think you’re a bitch for fending him off. Here are some rape prevention tips that will help you avoid an awkward post-rape run-in:

Say “No” nicely.

Make it clear you do NOT want to have sex because you’re on your period.

To those of you mad over in the against column you should do a little research. Reductress is a satire publication which specializes in satirizing feminism. You may not like their mission or style but it has about as much seriousness as the Onion.

That, and also if you're mad a woman would even want to avoid being bitchy then you must be on the bloody rag yourself right now.

IMO I'd rather you slap the guy because it's appropriate for women to slap men, and run away, or kick him in the balls and have that not be a rapist, than follow him away from the mall your probably at where people can see you (which is something all forms of intelligent predators will try to do regardless of if they are a sexual predator) and have them gag you and kidnap you which is actually an actual technique all forms of predators, murderers, etc. will use to kidnap is they'll be REALLY REALLY GOOD at looking nice through practice.

Well, if you are going to use violence, makse sure you run away fast but flip your hair while you flee. Look back and give him a flirty wink that says, “nice try, you brute!” But not too flirty – men are fast! ;)
