Should we prepare for WW III or Civil War II?

They should just forcefully remove Trump from the presidency. What he did a few days ago was outrageous, illegal, stupid and completely unnecessary. Forget impeachment: there's no doubt in my mind that he should be brought before the ICC for doing that.

We should prepare for BOTH! There is NO DOUBT that Trump is DOUBLE TROUBLE!

The way to prevent WW111 is to remove Trump from office. That done, we will have to worry about the Civil thingy, better named "The Weirdo War". There will be a lot of casualties in the weirdo war on the American-democratic side, but, on the weirdo side …. none. A dead weirdo is not a casualty.

I definitely agree that would be a damned good start.

That said, I think ultimately America needs to have a good look at the political system and how it enabled someone of Trump's character to ever ascend to the presidency in the first place.

Democrat the world is really scary but you were silent when your King was in power.

Before he took office in 2008, Barack Obama vowed to end America’s grueling conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his second term, he pledged to take the country off what he called a permanent war footing.

“Our systematic effort to dismantle terrorist organizations must continue,” he said in May 2013. “But this war, like all wars, must end. That’s what history advises. It’s what our democracy demands.”

But Obama leaves a very different legacy as he prepares to hand his commander-in-chief responsibilities to Donald Trump.

U.S. military forces have been at war for all eight years of Obama’s tenure, the first two-term president with that distinction. He launched airstrikes or military raids in at least seven countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan.

I told my wife to prepare for the second coming... but I was referring to myself ;)

Among the many things President Obama will be handing off to his successor this week: stubborn wars in three separate countries.

Obama came to office eight years ago vowing to end U.S. military interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yet President-elect Trump stands to inherit the nation's longest war ever in Afghanistan, as well as renewed fighting in Iraq that has spread to Syria.

The outgoing president was reminded of the persistence of those wars at the pomp-filled farewell ceremony the Pentagon put on for him him earlier this month at a nearby military base.

"Mr. President, we've been at war throughout your tenure," said Gen. Joesph Dunford, chosen by Obama in 2015 to be chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "That's a period longer than any other American president."

That's right: Obama is the first president to serve eight years and preside over American wars during every single day of his tenure. That's not what Obama wanted or expected.
