I didn't say anything should die. Religion is non-living therefore cannot die. I make this distinction because I am not suggesting religious people should die or disappear, but rather the belief system itself. Nothing good comes from religion. Just because something is made for a purpose doesn't mean the purpose is good. Nazi Germany was made for a reason, should we still have it?

I could read any book, literally any book, and take messages from it that i believe could be useful and applicable in real life and make it my bible. With that, We should "update" the bible by adding more experience to it and offering MODERN ways of life. As of right now if a serial killer begs for mercy and forgiveness, the bible says that the serial killer would be forgiven. WE SHOULD PROBABLY CHANGE THAT!
Sure it does! It teaches murder is wrong. We just need to ignore when God instructs Abraham to kill his son, or the many instances of mass genocide including the death of all first borns.

I would say that it is what's inside that counts and what it represents. Its history of the 1st-century church and further back into history about Israel.

We shouldn't change it with modern days of life because in the Bible that is how it was back then everything that happened. Changing the forgiveness and stuff like that would be altering the message. Why should we change the part where a serial killer can't be forgiven? It shows that God is merciful, loving, and graceful.
I think we should get rid of the ( 2 ) altogether. Point 0 would suit me fine ... fewer wars (if any), women would be equals, we'd be rid of the freeloaders in robes (reduce the 47%), nobody would be arguing which was the REAL "god", Trump wouldn't have to "fake news" his religious side and Now-a-saint would be tongue tied! It would be un-Constitutional to do either! THEY, as well as Christians, can't follow ancient practices that hurt people in any way no matter WHICH book it is in! When we "swear", we swear to uphold the CONSTITUTION, we do NOT swear to uphold the Bible ( OR the Qu'ran!) And it is just as legal to place your hand on the Constitution and "swear" to uphold IT as it is to put your hand on any religious object.
