Only two black men were newly elected to congress this cycle, and both are Republican. Col West is from southern Florida, a bastion of the Democratic Party. He won in a walk.

It is worth the viewing. This new Congressman was an extremely popular commander in Iraq .. He was forced to retire because during an intense combat action a few of his men were captured. At the same time his men had captured one of the guys who were with the Iraqis who captured his men.

Knowing that time was crucial and his interrogators were not getting anywhere with the prisoner COL West took matters into his own hands. He burst into the room and demanded thru an interpreter that the prisoner tell him where his men were being taken. The prisoner refused so COL West took out his pistol and placed it into the prisoner's crotch and fired. Then the COL told the prisoner that the next shot would not miss. So the prisoner said he would show where the American service members were being taken. The Americans were rescued. Someone filed a report on incorrect handling of prisoners. COL West was forced to retire. COL West was just elected in November 2010 to Congress from Florida. During the elections he was part of a panel on how to handle or how to relate to Muslims. You will see his answer here.

Here is one of the new congressmen from Florida explaining very definitively in just over a minute the truth about Islam.

In the end they're all a bunch of gays. Turns out that the radicals are EXTREMELY gay. So would the slight gays speak out against the EXTREME gays?

Very simple answer. The Quran very clearly teaches conversion by the sword. Fight against them by means Of it (the Quran) a great fight Surah Al-Furqan (Ch. 25, V,53) The so called "Radical Islamists" are doing what they are taught in the Quran. In close the few Muslims that are denouncing it are realistically picking parts of their religion to believe and not believe.

They are either too scared to denounce radical Islam or they secretly support it.

It's not exactly like there are widespread Muslim movements SUPPORTING the actions of radical Islamists. Any average Ahmed Islamic man in America is simply an average American with a job to worry about keeping and a mortgage to pay and three kids to feed. Maybe we should start a new debate called "Why are there so few Christians denouncing radical conservatives?" Have you taken the time out of your daily grind to walk to your local news station and tell them that you're denouncing the KKK and the people that bomb abortion clinics? Even the people that protest outside said clinics and humiliate/intimidate teenage girls with no means of supporting children? It's proven fact that radical Islam is a minority of the religion. Whether or not you are even part of a clandestine Islam-based organization has more to do with geography than religion in my opinion, and many of the people who are in these organizations are only there because they've been lied to for their entire lives by the people who run everything. That said, someone who is born in Palestine of the Islamic faith who leads a perfectly normal and moderate lifestyle has no interest in writing up a petition for like minded Muslim people who don't have wet dreams about killing westerners, about whether or not they support the radical Islamic movement, nor should they.

First of all the question is completely unfounded and based on anecdotal evidence at best.

It is important to consider what you are actually expecting of the islamic community. Simply going on TV and denouncing radical islam means nothing, since it goes without saying for the VAST MAJORITY of muslims. But switching the news on you will obviously get the impression that no muslims denounce the radical elements of islam since it's not newsworthy; airing a story bout muslims who preach hate is far more interesting than a story about average muslims who are disgusted by the extreme views of the minority.

As a slight but relevant digression, the man who blew himself up in Sweden was banned from his mosque for his radical views.

Therefore I disagree with the question since there is no way one can simply fabricate that few muslims denounce islam...you just don't hear about them.

OK, so if the majority of Muslims denounce radical Islamists, then they must comply with the rule of law, right? But...., it doesn't seem like they want to comply with the rule of law....
