You cannot use your normal voice when talking to a baby

[the following should be read using a high pitched tone of voice]

It's not because they're cute but because they react better to the high voice than the normal voice. Makes my nephew happy. :)

The same applies to small dogs ;)

I baby talk adults too. No joke. I'm serious. Seriously. I'm not kidding.

I don't know why I'm going to admit this today but I have a mild form of Dyslexia and every time I see your name I see VetVelcro ;)

Why would you use a normal voice with a baby, and sometimes you cant understrand people your age? Babies like a voice they could relate too. Not no ,, shet up! That baby will jump out that car seat and slap the h*ll out of you!

Side: True

Talking in a softer voice seems more pleasant to them, according to me.

Yes. I know someone who uses their normal voice when he talks to babies. What happened? The baby cried. Probably because the baby was scared because of the low voice.

Side: True

I always use my normal voice with babies. Not with pets, but with children I think it helps them mature and learn their language faster. My cat is never going to learn English, so I don't think I'm fucking that up for him when I baby-talk at him.

Actually... I try to avoid them at all costs.
