If there's one thing politicians rely on, is you forgetting the last scam they tried to put on the American people. I remember clearly the 'Next Ice Age' is coming scare in the '70's. Now, I can see it for what it was then and what the whole global warming issue is now.
Here is a couple of articles from the '70's of the coming 'Ice Age' and how man is the evil behind it.

Climate change is expanding Antarctica's sea ice, according to a scientific study in the journal Nature Geoscience.

Climate change could actually benefit some of the world's most endangered species, says Conservation International president Russell Mittermeier. In this week's Green Room, he explains that conservationists should capitalise on the worldwide attention being given to global warming.
Clouds Contributed to Record Greenland Ice Melt
http://www.livescience.com/28399-clouds-greenland-ice-melt.html
The culprit behind the record-shattering level of ice melting in Greenland in 2012 may have been low, thin clouds, new research suggests.
These novel findings, detailed in the April 4 issue of the journal Nature, may help answer climate mysteries elsewhere in the Arctic, the researchers said.
Without change there's, no pressure to evolve. This planet's planet's evolutionary history is tied to the historic changes of this planet. With each major climactic change came great extinctions. But each great extinction was also followed by an influx of new organism that otherwise would not have gotten their chance to thrive.
I want beach front property! I want the ice caps to melt and the world to flood right up to one city block from my home! You people are so selfish, always thinking about yourselves! What about me? I have a right to beach front property! If you wont do it for me, do it for my kids! Do it for the children! I mean, one man's loss is another man's gain. Survival of the fittest and adaptation to one's environment is the name of the game. Don't stack the deck against me. let nature takes its course. Put Darwanism back into society.

http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/mini-ice-age-coming-in-next-fifteen-years-new-model-of-the-suns-cycle-shows-10382400.html
There will be a "mini ice age" in 2030, solar scientists have said.
We are now able to predict solar cycles with far greater accuracy than ever before thanks to a new model which shows irregularities in the sun’s 11-year heartbeat.
The model shows that solar activity will fall by 60 per cent between 2030 and 2040 causing a "mini ice age".
The scientists found magnetic waves in two different layers of the sun’s interior which fluctuate between the northern and southern hemispheres of the sun.
“Combining both waves together and comparing to real data for the current solar cycle, we found that our predictions showed an accuracy of 97 per cent," Professor Zharkova said.
The magnetic wave patterns show that there will be fewer sunspots in the next two solar cycles. Cycle 25, which peaks in 2022 and Cycle 26, from 2030 to 2040 will both have a significant reduction in solar activity.

There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena.During WWII, Irena got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive...She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids). She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely.Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family. Most, of course, had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted.Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize....She LOST.Al Gore won, for doing a slide show on Global Warming. Apparently nothing is more important than global warming.
Before we rush to adopt Global Warming Policies, we should stop to consider the consequences of blithely giving these policies such a central position in our lives.

Global Warming Beliebers (GWB) might work in a small greenhouse or in a lab to come up with data to support their scare tactics, but on a whole planet you’ll run into the fact that the ecosphere is incredibly complex. Only an arrogant person would claim to understand all of the different intricacies. Simply claiming that increased CO2 will destroy the planet, while ignoring everything else it does, is a stunningly tone-deaf argument. Yet GWB seem to use that argument over and over, again and again. Looking at a few cities going underwater due to more CO2 ignores the fact that you just helped reduce the world's population and have allowed disenfranchised desert dwellers get a chance to finally be able to grow their own food. Then there’s the problem of rate. GWB claim that the current rate of increase of CO2 in the atmosphere is entirely unprecedented over at least the past 11,000 years. Who the hell has been keeping track of CO2 levels for the last 11,000 years? Oh yeah..., no one. It is all "scientifically" extrapolated from available data. To this day scientists keep in revising the age of the planet (that used to be FLAT!) based on extrapolated data (Read: scientists have been wrong before). But wait..., there's more; It is not JUST the amount that counts, it is also how quickly it rose to that amount. So there are 2 numbers that they are extrapolating (Read: the chance that they made a mistake just doubled). And that's not all; they are also experts on evolution. To GWB, the situation means that there’s no time for plants and animals to adapt. They claim that evolution takes time, which means countless species of animals and plants won’t be able to adapt. Really? How do they know? Didn't they just find 10 new species last year (http://species.asu.edu/Top10)? Didn't they determine that evolution can be a fast process (http://atheism.about.com/b/2012/02/27/evolution-occurs-faster-than-you-think.htm)?This idea (scare tactic) that CO2 is dangerous has been a GWB's talking point for some time now, but that doesn’t make it any less ridiculous. Their claim that CO2 is an unnatural and “harmful byproduct of nature” is based on different pieces of extrapolated data which they cobble together in order to claim that their results are accurate; that's just bonkers.

“It now appears that there exists a clear relationship between the global warming and earthquakes and other under earth activities,” writes Dr. Vivek Kumar Srivastava, an assistant professor at India’s Kanpur University.
“This fear is not unfounded, as there is increased water quantity in the oceans, and inside earth zones experience increased pressures,” he writes on the website, Countercurrents.,org
“Global warming has many aspects, but one aspect which requires a deep study is related to its capacity to change the pressure attribute of the earth sphere,” Srivastava says. “These pressure changes have impact on the pressure belts in the atmosphere; these have impact on the ocean water and subsequent impact on the inside area of the earth.”
http://arstechnica.com/science/2013/03/global-temperatures-hung-a-u-turn-in-1900-reversing-a-5000-year-chill-down/
The Earth's orbit and axis undergo cyclical changes, called Milankovitch cycles after the astronomer who first recognized them. These cycles cause changes to the amount and distribution of sunlight that strikes the Earth, changes that can raise or lower the average temperature of the planet. The result is what's called an "orbital forcing," which can drive long-term climate changes.
In recent history, orbital forcings have controlled the entry and exit to glacial periods. Although the amount of energy from the forcing itself is relatively small, it sets off a variety of feedbacks. Retreating ice sheets give way to open water and vegetation, which can absorb more sunlight and allow carbon dioxide to escape the deep ocean, ultimately causing a rise in greenhouse gasses. As the heating from orbital forcings slowly declines, these processes begin to reverse themselves. A recent study indicates that we were only about 1,500 years away from the onset of the next glacial period.
Global Warming provides an opportunity to those who can capitalize on it. Once coastal cities are under water, the economy will be stimulated by a new surge in construction. Drought areas will not need desalination plants if we move flood water to where it is needed. As the ice sheets melt, new land will be available for human habitation. Archaeologists will be able to dig in places that were once covered by ice. Ancient organism, reanimated by the receding ice and warming atmosphere will keep biologists busy. In short, it will be a brave new world to play in with some new rules. The purpose of life is to keep busy while waiting to die.

Global warming appears to have stalled. Climatologists are puzzled as to why average global temperatures have stopped rising over the last 10 years. Some attribute the trend to a lack of sunspots, while others explain it through ocean currents.
At least the weather in Copenhagen is likely to be cooperating. The Danish Meteorological Institute predicts that temperatures in December, when the city will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference, will be one degree above the long-term average.
Otherwise, however, not much is happening with global warming at the moment. The Earth's average temperatures have stopped climbing since the beginning of the millennium, and it even looks as though global warming could come to a standstill this year.
Everything has a silver lining. Sometimes you have to squint and look really hard for it but it's there. This holds true for global warming as well.
