Joe, you never cease to amaze. That is a funny vid, worthy of sharing. Sound effects would be a cool addition. Check out the sites linked below.
Its culturally insensitive to compare African Americans to monkeys because such comparisons are usually made to dehumanize people that are really just like you and me. You know, it wasn't very long ago that black people were persecuted and enslaved in this country.
I am digging deep to come up with an argument for this side. OK, here it goes:
In 2007, there were 872,720 marijuana arrests in the United States. Of those, 775,137 were for possession.
Think about how many jobs in the US prison system would be lost if the population of inmates shrank by 3/4 of a million people! Who would pay the lobbyists? And you dare suggest that is OK just so we can legalize a leaf that could help millions and sick people and spawn a multi-billion dollar hemp industry?
Atlas Shrugged is actually my favorite novel (and I'm a Democrat)! Ayn Rand and her concept of self and her objectivist philosophy are the basis of free market capitalism. of course, Ayn Rand would abhor the steps our government has taken to stem the financial crisis.
Thanks to the Constitution, I think we are able to revolt through voting, rather than through violence. I agree that this may not always be the case (i.e. it all goes out the window if the Constitution is trampled). However, one could argue that there have been several revolutions in modern times: the 20's, the 60's and, probably, today.
