I didn't say that.. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said that. Truly, the Texas abortion law was designed so that it would never have to go under judicial review.. And, 6 members of the Supreme Court agreed with it, thereby making their jobs irrelevant.
The Chief Justice goes on, "the clear purpose and actual effect of S. B. 8 has been to nullify this Court’s rulings. It is, however, a basic principle that the Constitution is the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and it is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is. Indeed, if the legislatures of the several states may, at will, annul the judgments of the courts of the United States, and destroy the rights acquired under those judgments, the constitution itself becomes a solemn mockery. It's the role of the Supreme Court in our constitutional system that is at stake."
That's why states can now outlaw guns using this very same vigilante system of governance, instead of the courts..

From my perspective, civil war generals were traitors, who fought a war against America to maintain slavery, and LOST.. That's NOT a history I'd be proud of - unless, of course, you think the wrong side won the civil war..
Nonetheless, statues of these traitors are part of our history, and should be relegated to museums, where history is venerated, and out of the public square where hero's are venerated..
