Anti-transgender laws depict men as predators.

“I played professional baseball for 15 years but my family’s more important. My wife and I have four daughters and Proposition One will allow troubled men who claim to be women to enter women’s bathrooms, showers and locker rooms,” the ex-slugger said.

“It’s better to prevent this danger by closing women’s restrooms to men rather than waiting for a crime to happen. Join me to stop the violation of privacy and discrimination against women. Vote no on Proposition One. No men in women’s bathrooms, no boys in girls’ showers or locker rooms.”

Voters will be asked: “Are you in favor of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, Ord. No. 2014-530, which prohibits discrimination in city employment and city services, city contracts, public accommodations, private employment, and housing based on an individual’s sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or pregnancy?”

Despite the ordinance’s wide scope, opponents have zeroed in on bathrooms, producing a creepy TV commercial that shows a girl about to be attacked in a restroom. “Any man at any time could enter a women’s bathroom simply by claiming to be a woman that day. No one is exempt, even registered sex offenders,” warns the voiceover.

Right now there is nothing to stop a sexual predator from dressing up as a woman and (if his costume is convincing) walk into a woman's bathroom. And yet, has this happened anywhere?

Aside from that, my experience has been that women's bathrooms are, more often than not, full of women (at least 2). They go in pairs.

This particular anti-transgender argument (the one depicted in the description above) means to hurt trans-gender people but instead it actually hurts your average man by depicting all men as sexual predators. The anti-transgender crowd claims to want to protect women but how is a law on a piece of paper going to protect women if anyone can just walk into a woman's bathroom and lie in wait? If someone intends to lie in wait in a woman's bathroom, they're just going to do it regardless of the law. We already have laws against attacking women and that's about as effective as it gets.

If you really want to protect women from sexual predators, ship them off to Mexico. They send us their illegals, we send them our sexual predators. Let them deal with it. Take their passports and drop them off at the border. All you have to do is vote for Trump. If he can build a wall to keep illegals out and force the Mexicans to pay for it, he can find a way to make this proposal happen.

If someone plans to attack someone in a restroom that isn't their gender, no sign on the door is going to stop them, and they aren't going to bother to dress up as the opposite gender. The problem here has nothing to do with gender fluidity.

Enabling men to enter a woman's restroom is unlawful - it's not 'anti' anything. Moreover, transgender people--in this case men--can still be heterosexual, which means they can indeed look upon women and girls in perverse manner, thereby discomfiting innocent individuals who will now need to remain wary in a supposedly privatized rest-zone (which defeats the purpose of not allowing non-transgender men in the restroom).

Um, we've been aware of non-heterosexual people who are not transgender for a long time. There is no increased danger of someone being sexually attracted to those in the room by allowing transgenders into other restrooms. This is not a new dilemma. And the solution would not be to prevent transgender people from entering restrooms.

Not true. Most assaults that happen in restrooms come from homosexuals. So in the event that you have opposite-sexed heterosexuals in the rest area, there is a significant increase of sexual assault.

Ask yourself: Why is it that women do not want men in the restroom?

XD, Yea all men are predators, all men are peeking in on girls while they are changing!
