Bicycling is not good for the environment.

http://www.seattlebikeblog.com/2013/03/02/state-lawmaker-says-bicycling-is-not-good-for-the-environment-should-be-taxed/

“You would be giving off more CO2 if you are riding a bike than driving in a car,”

“You can’t just say that there’s no pollution as a result of riding a bicycle.”

People who bike do not pay for roads when they ride.

the amount of money that would end up going to bike lanes is higher than the amount raised by the proposed bike tax.

I say tax the fuckers! They don't stay within the bike lane anyway, so... ;)

Side: If you're a bicyclist, stop it

It should be no surprise that politicans are looking for more ways to rob us.

Side: If you're a bicyclist, stop it

Saves money on gas. We also have a right to ride in a driving lane if there is no bike lane present. It is a good way to work those muscles too. It also uses so much less air pollutants than a car does.

I disagree.

Bicyclist should NOT be allowed to ride in a driving lane if the driving lane consists of unsafe conditions such as blind turns or no room for a vehicle to pass without breaking traffic rules.

Disclaimer: I'm a cyclist.

I have seen cyclists who think they can do whatever they want and hold the motorist liable for any accident. That's is just wrong. If you are an idiot and you are not aware that your actions are creating a hazardous condition for motorists behind and/or in front of you, then you deserve to die a bloody, horrible death.

I have been forced to swerve onto oncoming traffic, forced to cross a double yellow line, because some ass hole cyclist decided not to use the bike lane provided, and they chose instead to ride in the middle of the road (to protect their tires or something) on a blind turn!!! If the cyclist gets hit he will then feel entitled for compensation for creating the hazardous situation that lead to him getting hit. It's outrageous!!! They should be left on the side of the road, bleeding, as a warning to other cyclists ;)

OMG!!! I actually disputed someone ;)

That should go in the record books. What's the date and time?

Yeah I agree with you. But by law the have the right to ride in the driving lane if no bicycle lane is provided. Also they are aupposed to follow all of the laws and rules but I guess they don't. I follow my rules and if there is an accident most of the time it honestly is the bicyclers fault. But by law they can ride in the streets if no bike lane is there. Also I see your point because tons of people don't follow the rules when riding their bike. If everone followed the rules then maybe things would be better.

I think it's funny when people get a ticket for speeding on a bicycle.

Sucks, but pretty funny. I'd be pissed though if I did.

Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

Lol I got a warning once. I was so confused because I had no idea that I was speeding so I was just lost. Apparently the street I was on was a 10 mph street but the hill made me go at least 17-18 mph. So I got a warning.

Bicycling shows rebellion to God's method of travel: Donkey/Elephant/Camel (depends on region of world you're from).

It's devilish, it's sexy, it's the way to go if you wanna do it.

Rubbish. Combustion produes more CO2 than an increase in respiration.

if we are not paying tax for riding a bicycle, we are paying road tax for our cars .. and it is good for the environment and for our health to ride bicycles
