Did Trump effectively fire Obama and take over his job?

If you don't like the fact that Trump is president, you have no one but Obama to blaim for that ;)

Have faith in America's system of checks and balances. Trump can not destroy America. But if he does, I'm sure the rapture can't be far behind ;)

Wrong, Betty.

The American people fired Obama. Rather, the Constitution did, since it limits any POTUS to only two terms.

As far as Trump winning the election (geez, I still cannot believe it!) we can blame the antiquated and useless Electoral College. Since Hillary won the popular vote.

It's 2000 all over, when Gore won the vote but the Supreme Court and Bush's brother Jeb--Governor of the State where the clusterfuck occurred (gee, what a coincidence!)--robbed him of the presidency.

And just like then, this latest fiasco that put an unqualified ego maniac and sexual predator in office, young Americans will die from a needless war that Trump is sure to get us into.

He wasn't robbed; Bush came out ahead on votes and won fair and square. Even the MSM did a recount afterwards and Bush came out ahead. Of course, it was scarcely reported, the end results, but then again, the MSM isn't the most honest and forthcoming about events that don't go their way.

The talking heads of the left know this, too, but will not be honest about it with their flock in an effort to keep the agitated.

The popular vote? Really? By how much, exactly?

If you don't like the electoral college, vote for a constitutional amendment.

Robbed? Just because your side lost does not mean the system is at fault nor does it mean that your side was robbed. American presidential elections are not determined by popular vote.

That's like being pissed off because your choice of Miss America did not make it. Even though you thought she was the prettiest in the bunch. Wel, guess what, that is not what determines Miss America.

Bill Clinton is a sexual predator. Do you condone his behaviour?

You are predicting the future... again!!! Last time you did that you got it wrong.

Right SS!

I would rather look at it as Obama was forced to retire, by the Constitution ... Trump had nothing to do with it. If he COULD have run again, I think there was little doubt that he would have won! He had an over 50% approval record, compared to Dubya's 27% when HE left, and MORE than St. Reagan.

Reading Trumps face and body language after his meeting with the man who showed him more respect than he deserved (up until now), he looked overwhelmed! Hopefully he got a reality check! I will respect the office of the President for now. When (or IF) he screws U.S. up ... I will not. That's FAR more than most conservatives give! (I hope "they" continue with all the lawsuits he brought on himself, though!)

Trump will be kept in check by the other members of the Executive branch, the Legislature branch and the Judicial branch of government.

Whatever mistakes he makes should not destroy this country. ;)

That antiquated and useless Electoral College worked for Barack Obama and if it had worked for Hillary it would not be antiquated and useless. Tough to take a loss when you lose.

The Blame Game is the sole reason of any Leftist loss. Can you at least come up with something a little more original than the tired rhetoric you Leftist play over and over again.

Wow! 1-2-3 shots at me over one comment. It really got under your skin didn't it?

No, the Electoral College didn't work for Obama, his popularity and intelligent, peaceful rhetoric calling for hope and change worked for him. He didn't expect, in America, that high ranking elected officials would conspire against him (and the voting public), while he was taking his oath of office. He didn't expect that type of Fascist act in America. I didn't either.

THEY didn't respect the vote of the people! (Those nasty righties!). What is happening with protestors today is NOT disrespecting the vote of the people, it's disrespecting the MAN who has disrespected THEM! Obama GOT respect, because he, and his rhetoric, EARNED respect, wanted to bring people , ALL PEOPLE, together. He, and MOST AMERICANS, never expected the hate that "you [righties] play over and over again". Who would, if you really wanted to "bring people together"?

Now, Trump, the great healer, installs the most divisive man in the country (today, one step above the "used to be" #1, David Duke!) as "White House Chief advisor"! Yeah! That is "coming up with an "Original" move"! That will certainly bring the "deplorable" together! We don't need a "blame game", the hate game will be obvious!

I know you mean that figuratively, but it's far from accurate when lots of voters frustrated with either the Trump or Clinton choices say they'd gladly put Obama back in if only that weren't Constitutionally prohibited. That's not a firing, that's failing to fill the shoes of the predecessor.
