The reason why I should not and do not do that is precisely because nobody cares, nobody cares about actually evaluating things based on reason and evidence and forming their outlook based on those evaluations. Look at the data again. Under Obama for the year 2016:
1st Quarter: 1.54%
2nd Quarter: 2.26%
3rd Quarter: 1.91%
4th Quarter: 1.75%
Under Trump for the year 2017:
1st Quarter: 1.77%
2nd Quarter: 2.96%
3rd quarter: 2.79%
4th quarter: 2.27%
The Obama effect would have carried over from the 4th quarter in 2016 into the first quarter in 2017. In other words, from 1.75% to 1.77%. This is Obama's 0.02́onomic recovery.
Trump took office in 2017 with the sole purpose of undoing what Obama had done. He did not want to inherit any of that. This is why the Dems hate him so much.
So..., in the second quarter in 2017, after Trump had started making changes, the economy jumps to 2.96% and stays above 2.00% for the following 2 quarters. Now that's what I call a real recovery ;)

He downplayed the severity of the virus for over six weeks, comparing it to the flu. He ignored key memos warning him about the likely effects of inaction. He ignored the National Security Council playbook on fighting pandemics. He disbanded Obama's pandemic program from 4 years previously and didn't replace it with anything. His administration’s testing failures were so severe that in February government labs processed only 352 tests, which is equal to about 12 per day in a nation of over 300 million people.
So..., you are saying that he did not enforce a lock down and the economy tanked.

And I partially agreed with you. The policies that Obama put in place were inherited by Trump. Those policies improved the economy by .02¾cause Trump had not had a chance to revoke those policies. Then he revoked them and the economy took off.

I'm saying that if you think Trump's economic figures were genuine or that ordinary people were benefitting you have rocks in your head. He cut taxes for the rich, exactly the same as every other Republican president has done.
