HEAVEN .... http://www.gty.org/products/Audio-Series/175_Heaven ...... Are your ideas about heaven based on hearsay or hard fact? How do the amazing claims of people who say they have been to heaven line up with the Bible's own description? And what will we do once we're in heaven? ... Finding the answers is simple: piece together the biblical details, sift out the popular myths, and you have an amazingly accurate picture of heaven, angels, and the afterlife ..... gty.org

"the afterlife" is not a Biblical term. Jesus said "let the dead bury their dead". Sinners who are rejecting the Savior are dead in their sins, dead men walking and talking. blind leaders of the blind. They will have death in hell after their current death is finalized if they don't get saved from it. They will have eternal life if they repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Eternal life for those of us who believe is now and forever. There is no "afterlife". You either have life or you have death, and both of them are eternal.

How are we supposed to know? We have no idea how big or small Heaven is. Given the fact that God is omnipotent and super-cool and can do whatever he wants, surely he would be able to provide a hospitable amount of space for everyone?

What if He was screwing around and He has another family somewhere in another part of the galaxy/universe? We may be forced to share with aliens (our spiritual half brothers and sisters)!

There is plenty of space in Heaven for everyone, but why should you be entitled to it? Why should God be hospitable to you? Is He not being hospitable now? Why should He be "super-cool" to you and not angry with you? If God is "super-cool" with you, why does He let you suffer and die? Could it be that He has a reason to be angry with you? Have you done something wrong so God won't let you off the hook and you have to die?

Are you really thinking, or are you just trying to fool yourself into believing God does not care about the things you have done?

I wasn't saying anything about me going there, actually. I don't care if God doesn't like me or if he is angry with me because I dont believe he exists. Why would God let me suffer and die just because he may not like me? It seems to me like he's a bit of a psycho is he wants to make me suffer.

Your questions only serve to show that you hate God. How can someone who thinks they are going to be saved test God so poorly?

You are not trying to reason, you are trying to justify your existence outside of Hell and it is not possible for a sinner to do that. You are not being logical, you are only trying to fool yourself...and who other than God really knows, maybe you have completely succeeded and are unable to come into agreement with God so you can know His mercy forever and be saved from Hell.

You are trying to justify yourself to deny God's justice and He will not be denied. You still are part of His creation, still are a piece of His property even if you choose to remain forever separated from Him by your sins. He will keep you forever in Hell if you won't enter into reasonable agreement with Him so He can pardon you and not hold you in contempt and be forced by your sin to leave you in Hell.

I really believe you STILL have not been thinking, only rejecting the truth and trying to justify your silly reasons for doing it. You simply love your sin more than life even though it is taking you down in death to Hell. I really don't think you have begun to think, have you?

Re: "Given the fact that God is omnipotent ........"

If so, can God make a rock so heavy that he himself cannot lift?

Ahh, the rock argument. I'm an atheist to clarify, but this argument can be blown out of the water, no matter how appealing it may be. If by 'omnipotence' you mean being able to do anything, even the logically impossible, God can still lift the rock.

If God can do anything logically impossible, it means that he can do things that even contradict themselves. This may be incomprehensible, but if floors logically. It doesn't matter whether the rock is too heavy because he can still lift it, as he can do anything that is impossible.

If, however, you define omnipotence as being able to do everything that is possible, within logic and non-contradiction, the argument still is invalid. If god can only do things that are possible he cannot make a rock that he can't lift, as it is impossible.

So, either way God still wins, annoyingly.

Why does everyone think they know about heaven.. maybe you should ask someone dead who went to heaven to find out

The Bible is God's word and tells all we need to know about heaven for now. For a person who claims to be a Christian, you sure talk like an unbeliever.

The apostle Paul knew. Heaven is good beyond imagination, the best we are told about it in the Bible is only a drop in the bucket of how wonderful and beautiful it will be. We can know enough by believing God and taking Him at His word. You can know without a doubt that your sins are forgiven and you are going to heaven, and you can know heaven will be everything described in the Bible and much more. Most poople will end up in Hell because of their sin.

We look out, with todays telescopes, and see planets forming (being built, if you must), and planets in destruction, millions (billions) of light years away. How can there be crowds?, Or not room in the "heavens"? We are one of the tiniest of those planets and ALL the people who have died since "creation" (if you must), wouldn't fill the tiniest of voids out there in "Gods universe" (if you must). Not to worry.
