If the lord will not put a burden on you heavier than you can handle - then why are there

If the lord will not put a burden on you heavier than you can handle
then why are there so many suicides?

The lord won't. It's the other assholes that add to it ;)

Neuropsychiatric disorders, bulling, abuse, failed relationships, substance abuse, the loss of a loved one, you catch my drift?

The Lord has given us the mental fortitude to deal with whatever life throws at us.

There are those who have the emotional aptitude to tap into this God given intellectual resource and then there are others who prefer to wallow in the quagmire of self-pity and enter into the fool's paradise where they find temporary solace from their dire-straits by abandoning themselves to the many forms of mind/mood altering drugs.

Of course this coward's way of escapism from reality only serves to intensify the gutless wimp's state of woe.

I agree that God never gives us more than we can handle, but other people, places, and things, do, and the presence of neuropsychiatric disorders, can present, an issue.

Yep, you're correct.

I would deem the condition to which you refer as being the result of brain damage, probably caused at birth or an inherited mental defect.

Both these disorders of the mind would only be treatable with prescription drugs and/or psychiatric counselling.

If the lord will not put a burden on you heavier than you can handle

then why are there so many suicides?

They could bear it. They chose not to. A man can be able to bench press 200 pounds and never do one chess press in his life. How many people do you suspect were suicidal, fought it off, got help, changed their state of mind and are still here today?
