While that is true, the question is if they need both in order to turn out normal. While kids with two parents definitely tend to grow up to be more stable, there are plenty of people who grow up in single parent homes (or with grandparents, other family, etc) that still end up normal. So while having both parents definitely helps, it isn't absolutely necessary. Side: True.

What you will ALWAYS hear from those on the Left to negate the obvious truth to what Conservatives say, is this........ while we agree that it is probably best to have both parents raising child, "there are kids who grow up well adjusted with but one parent" Now of course this is true, Conservatives do not deny this. We are talking about the majority of kids who will do far better with both parents. That should always be the goal! Ask yourself why Liberals always find it necessary to refute the obvious truth to things Conservatives say. Now why do you suppose it is that people on the Left must always play devil's advocate when trying to make Conservatives out to be wrong? The answer is simple, Left wingers hate any notions of moral values, responsibility, right and wrong, traditional family values, etc. They live and breathe in a world of the no fault ideology. They hate it when Conservatives speak the obvious truth where the majority of people living off welfare have brought themselves to this place with irresponsible choices in life. They will be beside themselves spewing hate towards you for saying such a thing. They will say there are people who through no fault of their own come on hard times. OF COURSE THERE ARE! They are the minority! The goal should be keeping people off welfare and to do this we MUST bring the conversation back to moral and responsible lifestyles. That is the ONLY answer if you truly care for these people other than for their vote. Other examples.... Liberals hate the notion that drug addicts, alcoholics, unwed mothers, pregnant teens, etc. etc. are responsible for their problems. Liberal's have a problem with the very mention of accountability for one's actions. I could give example after example where those on the Left will ALWAYS play devil's advocate when it comes to the good derived from moral responsible living. Now before fools tell us all that not all Liberals feel this way, SPARE US! I'm talking about the vast majority that do feel this way. Side: True.
Now of course this is true, Conservatives do not deny this. We are talking about the majority of kids who will do far better with both parents. That should always be the goal! Goal for whom? For the government? They should be regulating the type of situations children should be born into? Can you say BIG GOVERNMENT! You're a joke. Every single thing you criticise everyone else for you are ten times worse!!!!!!! Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

Like I said, I stated the obvious truth and you left wingers found it necessary to find fault with it. You people are the poster child for Liberalism. You could not even admit the goal should be keeping people off welfare and having children raised by their mother and father. Very very close to a permanent ignore. Side: True.

You do not state any obvious truths, you state your opinions and then declare them obvious truths, rather than actually having a debate on the matter. No liberal wants people on welfare, so there really is no need to declare that the goal should be to keep it off welfare. And there you go again, ignoring and banning anyone who has a different opinion than you. You censor more than the FCC. Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

i have very much agreement for this after my own experiences. but i think in general its better for parents to actually be parents for kids to end up semi-normal. even if they only end up with one parent, it is still very possible to end up fine provided the lonely parent is capable of taking up a solid role Side: True.
