Our rights are being taken away faster than you can say,

Man With 4th Amendment Written on Chest Wins Trial Over Airport Arrest

“Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated,”

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

While it is tempting to hold that First Amendment rights should acquiesce to national security in this instance, our Forefather Benjamin Franklin warned against such a temptation by opining that those ‘who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.’ We take heed of his warning and are therefore unwilling to relinquish our First Amendment protections—even in an airport.

I am not willing to trade my freedom for any amount of safety. In fact, I much rather use the rights afforded to me under the second amendment to protect myself. ;)

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

The rest of the world is not guaranteed ANY of the rights just mentioned. Some American people have no idea how precious those rights are. If they did, they wouldn't be so willing to give them up without a fight...

...a fight with the guns they bought ;)

This is true. They said we were forfeiting our rights to be free from terrorism. Kind of an oxymoron.
