Hmm... That's a different way to look at it... But it's not what I'm saying. Most likely, the reason one will go to Theistic Evolution is because they accept Evolution as unfalsifiable. Now, this is not "God getting involved and making Evolution seem unfalsifiable." This is a person believing all the things people tell them and believing that it has been proven without a shadow of a doubt.
This page gives a pretty good in context description of the slavery going on.
KILLING SOMEONE FOR BEING HELPFUL
I'm pretty sure what's actually happening here is God teaching people to have faith in Him. He wouldn't let the Ark of His Covenant fall to the ground. Just because the oxen stumbled doesn't mean God would have. Also, I'm not even sure of what's falling in this passage; Uzzah could be falling and take hold of the Ark to steady himself. If so, he could have grabbed on to many other things, and did not have to grab the Ark.
I am gonna get off for a while, but I will come back and finish the list later.
Matthew 13: 24-30 gives a pretty good description of what's going on in most of this. Besides, there's no evidence of Him directly saying "Yeah, you can go rape people; you know, burn some witches too. Oh, and while you're at it, why don't you enslave some people?"
