I think every argument eventually and will inevitably break one of those commandments of logic. Arguments are about proving you are right while proving the other person is wrong and in order to do that certain laws of logic are broken in the creative process.

Consider evolution on an alternate planet inhabited by certain life forms. The course of evolution would differ significantly to Earth's as creatures adapt to the surroundings specific to their habitat. The environment plays a key role in the course of evolution and due to Earth's very unique environment, species have been exposed to natural selection and our rapidly changing conditions which kill off some animals. What is left are species that have adapted and survived the planets variety of environments and there is no doubt that the Earth's environment would differ to some degree.

Furthermore, if we are presupposing that 'alien life' is as intellectually capable as us then their anatomical structure would be similar to ours but their outwards appearance may differ significantly. As humans, we are much more reliant on our intellect for survival rather than our brawn. Other animals have built in functions that might help them, say, for example, crack open a nut, however, most species are not great innovators. Humans have survived the process of natural selection mainly due to our ability to be creative, explore our curiosities, solve problems and use logical reasoning. These abilities inadvertently impacted on our physical strength and gave us a traits that favoured brains over brawn. On another planet, a similar process of evolution would have resulted in a certain species also favouring intelligence as physical strength became redundant.
