My faith is not in man, man made institution, or any of these created things. My faith is in God, The Supreme and Ultimate Reality, and this is the God that scripture testifies of.

The first definition of "testament" according to Merriam-Webster is...

"A tangible proof or tribute".

I recognize the two testaments contained within The Holy Bible as being good witness to The One True God, The Supreme and Ultimate Reality.

See, you don't understand my faith. You lean on your own understanding. My faith is not in my own understanding, even less the understanding of other people. My faith is not in philosophy, human authority, systems of human authority, less so even the tombs of dead men.

There is nothing surprising about the way people are, all of it has been prophesied of in scripture. It is prophesy because it is true, not because it is said to be true. Have these things been proven to you? Then to you it is not proof.

See, you are telling me what my faith is, and then proceeding to demolish what it is you are telling me my faith is. Wouldn't it make more sense to show some charity in order to actually address someone as an individual rather than a homogenization of prejudice?

You must not be talking to me.

If it means anything, most preachers make me physically ill.

It has been permitted by God to allow these things to happen, and they are not extraordinary things to those who have been educated through scripture. This is how the church is, and this is how it was prophesied to be. The state of the church is not all that shocking to me, as scripture makes it clear that it was going to be this way. It is at least very clear to me.

The God I believe in is The Supreme and Ultimate Reality. That being the case, The Truth is what has authority. Many will claim things by the name of Jesus, but that doesn't mean they even know Jesus.

The Truth is what sets you free, what saves you, what redeems all. That is The Good News, The Gospel. People will always argue over matters of creation. Ultimately, this isn't what the faith is about.

In other words, you don't understand what you are reading(assuming you even read it), so you are going to resort to mocking and scoffing.

Something that literally anyone could do. Congratulations on being unexceptional.

It's a first amendment issue. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who choose to live outside.

If home is where the heart is, and your heart is with God, are you ever really homeless?

I assure you, there are many out there who take what I am saying as a joke.

I am pointing to the greatest joke there ever was. The Cosmic Joke.

What is The Cosmic Joke?

The absurdity of expressing The Uncreated through the medium of creation.

It is certainly the joke I get the biggest kick out of. Why? Because it means a life more abundant.

1 point

You say that I need to understand, but it is very clear to me that you have no understanding. If you had any understanding at all, you would not be so off the mark.

You may think you can kill The Truth, but one day you'll see that you cannot kill The Truth. You do not know The God of my faith, and you call for the crucifixion of my God with your uncharitable certainty.

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."

And if the God of my faith is a man, why is it that it is written in scripture,

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."

?

You do not know my God, your babble is worthless. The God I believe in is The Supreme and Ultimate Reality, and this God is The One Who Saves.

There is no other God like this God, this is The One True God.

Not at all, there are many people who actually believe this. The fact that scripture prophesies of this is evidence enough that it is worth addressing seriously.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

The easiest way to divorce yourself is a bullet through the dome.

Oddly enough, suicide is illegal?

I'm not sure you can actually avoid being married to yourself.

The single life is too easy. Married life is hard mode. Part of the fun of being alive is challenging yourself.
