No! But in the context of the debate a gay person can also have a gay child. Just as a gay person can have a straight child and a straight person can have a gay child.

Gay men can be sperm donors and gay women can be egg donors. Lesbian couples often choose one to get pregnant. And bi-sexual people, although inclined to the same sex at times, can settle down and have children with the opposite sex.
