Would you call someone Liz if you knew it pissed them off?

It looks like this sort of crap is rampant with the Democrats ;)

If you want to score a meeting with Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), know this: His scheduler/office manager, Elizabeth Becton, is to be addressed by her full name — not Liz or any other variant.

An executive assistant recently learned this the hard way when seeking a meeting with McDermott and a client.  She began the e-mail with “Hi Liz” and Elizabeth through a hizy fit that went on for 19 e-mails!!!  During the exchange, the assistant apologized six times if she had “offended” Elizabeth, while Elizabeth lectured about name-calling.

Read the saucy email exchange here:

That's ridiculous. I could understand someone not liking a short name, I only go by Andrew, never Andy, but I would never send two emails telling someone not to call me by another name, let alone 19.

If someone takes themselves that seriously, though, ever, I would just have to poke the bear and call her "Liz" just to prove a point.

In true Joe_Cavalry fashion I would call her "Liz" until she chilled and I couldn't get a reaction out of her anymore. I mean, why beat a dead horse ;)
