Humans should have never gained the ability to use language
Animals can't talk and they get along just fine. If no one is beating you, you're doing the right thing. If someone is pounding you, you're doing something wrong. If someone is trying to kill you, then you're lunch...., or dinner. It's all very simple..., very straight forward.
Some may say that language has allowed humans to create society and technology. But I ask you..., is that a good thing? Think about it for it a second.
Society means that you have people arguing all over the place in that society. You got liberals arguing with conservatives, atheists arguing with religious people, cops arguing with traffic violators, you name it.
Societies means that you have different societies arguing with each other. Jews arguing with Arabs, Americans arguing with Iranians, Syrians arguing with Europeans, Greeks arguing with Germans, you name it.
And technology has allowed us to stop all the arguing with a simple push of a red button. Or..., as I like to call it..., the STFU button. And once that's done, there'll barely be anything left for us to argue over. But... we will.
Some people will say that language will allow us to discuss our differences and come to some common ground we can all agree to. But civiliazation is thousands of years old and we haven't gotten there yet. Why would anyone hold out hope that we can achieve that goal given our track record?
Now..., most of you here know me. You know that I like to exaggerate for comedic effect. Your job is to tell me what's so funny about that.
