Find the most miserable person here and crown him the best debater ;)

You're right again! I haven't been happy since November of last year! Actually, the WORLD hasn't been happy since then! ;-(

I'm happy as a meadow lark. Of course, no one said I'm a great debator either. Beating nomenclature doesn't account as "being a great debator". It simply means you are smarter than a dead opposum carcus lying in the ditch. Aaaah... but most debators don't have my morbid sense of humor, and most "great debators" probably take this all seriously and personally. Alas, I'm obviously a unicorn. I'm also a rabid troll on steroids when I feel the need to be. The point? I have no point, so carry on and study the other members of the site. I'm no use in psychology studies. There is no other person with my rabid brontoism. That might be a good thing. Of course, if I'm happy and the others are miserable, perhaps they should release their inner bront.

@brontoraptor

Perhaps you should see a psychiatrist and get yourself properly medicated before your delirium worsens.

You literally have a former President as your picture and obviously see Obama as a messiah figure that you want to rape. Maybe you should get that checked out, and then? Ask yourself why I'm happier than you...

That's not true. I've been on three debate websites and a bunch of us are now friends on Facebook and even have our own little private Facebook debate site on there by invitation only. Those folks are all happy and successful.

You know who isn't. It's these people:

1) The people angry about single issues. And that's not because they're among the best debaters, it's solely because of their obsessions. Quite frankly being obsessed with one side of one issue pretty much automatically makes you a pretty poor debater anyway.

2) The people who have no lives outside of the debate website. And this really is more than debate websites, this could be no life outside any chat room or message board. If all you've got going on is your life on the web then probably you're not very happy when you leave the web.

And

3) People who try to debate people in real life who don't want to debate them. This was a common mistake even back when I was doing academic debate for school. I knew early on that couldn't walk into the cafeteria and start talking to a theatre major about some policy issue I had researched 10 times more than they had. Ultimately they would just think the debater was steamrolling them and everyone around would get mad. You only debate with people who want to engage you, and your only hope of persuading someone is if you can bring it closer to their own level. No genius college professor succeeds in swaying a kid by hitting them with their dissertation. Indeed the only way both the professor and kid come away happy is if they can talk on a similar level to truly have a real exchange of ideas.

I'm not sure I agree that there is any direct relationship between those things, but I can certainly relate to being obsessed with a single issue. For years most of my online debating was focused on arguing that 9/11 was a false flag attack.
