I'm trying to imagine what you're talking about by 'military facility'. I assumed it meant a place that veterans used to sleep (e.g. a barracks - a place like a dormitory) that had since been abandoned and it has been converted into a place where illegal immigrants are held. I assumed this to give you the benefit of the doubt.

So..really what you mean is that this is a military facility, or part of it, that was purposefully built to processing and housing immigrants in confined conditions (we tend to use 'detention centres' in the UK) and you're advocating that homeless veterans be allowed into this prison-like facility to sleep. Is that right? I don't understand your logic. Wouldn't it be better to house the veterans in hostels rather than prisons?
