This statement kind of irritates me to an extreme. Crack is illegal, crack is nothing like marijuana, marijuana should be legalized and regulated. Crack should NEVER be regulated!!

In 2007, there were 872,720 marijuana arrests in the United States. Of those, 775,137 were for possession.

This is disgusting, all those people deserve to be free. Marijuana is harmless, they never should have been in prison in the first place.

Legalizing marijuana would aid us in oh so many ways!

If we legalize marijuana, we could do all the things you have stated, but we could also use hemp to manufacture clothes. We could make the United States (assuming you are from the united states) a hemp manufacturing powerhouse. This would create jobs, and produce exports, thus helping stimulate the economy. Also, like you said, it would create less arrests. Another big thing it would do, is put a giant dent in the Mexican Drug Cartel's business, weakening them. :)
