I couldn't agree with you more. These days, both HOR and senators of this great country are completely under the control of bankers throughout the planet through lobbying scumbags. I know.....let's make lobbying completely illegal and let's see who will then be willing to run for Congress/Senate and spend millions of dollars to be elected!!!!!!!!! Yeah, that's what I thought. Their only interest is to get voted in and then exchanged for the highest bidder as if they are on the stock market. Why else would someone go from a let's say $500k non-government salary to a job where you make less than that, at least officially?

Well, some might consider that to be somewhat unfair, so I think that one option is to:

First, anyone who can get at least 10,000 signatures to run for a seat be eligible for a financial support from the government with let's say $100,000.00, no more than that plus no one is allowed to any sort of donation, including their own money.

Second, anyone who is found to be suspicious of being lobbied and getting some financial suport from these lobyists should be immediately investigated, not after their term is completed. No exceptions. If proven guilty, give them maximum sentences without a chance of a parole.

With these two very fair (at least in my opinion) conditions, I strongly doubt that we would see many of those people running for congress.....plus we can all get citizens who will represent us and our needs better. Why? Because among the citizens of this country, there are many of those who would want to run for public office, but can't because they can't afford it or cannot get their name out there. Why? Because they are more honest and perhaps much less corruptible to pressure and financial opportunities that come from lobbyists.

same here. Although I vote for the middle, if I had to choose between the two, I would have to choose the right because the left seems to be closer to the belief that minority movements or ideas are more valuable and important rather than what the majority of our citizens want.

As someone mentioned earlier, all these former great powers such as the British, Romans, Byzantine, Greece, Ottomans......they all thought that they were invincible...what makes someone think that such a thing is not possible for our country is beyond me. Believing in some sort of human superiority of US over the rest of the world is just plain stupidity.

Using the "if we fall, they will fall with us" might not work any longer as it did in this last instance of economic recession.

Every empire rises and falls, no exceptions. It is just a matter of how and when.

Perhaps little more expensive when you buy it at first, but you can't beat the almost unlimited choices of different prices and upgrades compatibility thereafter when you have a clone PC.

As far as MAC goes....good software, ok on hardware, but when it comes to the price, God forbid.......unless you are more into the way the product looks rather than the way it performs. I always say "get your money's worth"

What goes around comes around. JFK got whacked because he didn't want WWIII, (which is why he is one of my favorite presidents), RFK got whacked because he spoke too harshly against those who put him in power (mafia). Teddy was a little smarter....well, for a while at least. We all know that if it wasn't for his family's money that he would have been in jail loooooooooooooooong time ago. Well, nothing lasts forever. He caused quite a few women a lot of discomfort, so perhaps this is one way that the almighty paid him back to suffer so much at the end.
