When the government gives a particular group benefits, like heterosexual marriage benefits, then other groups start to bitch, like gay couples (BTW, the gays have a valid point).  Handing out benefits strengthens the government (united they stand) and divides the people (divided we fall).  While people are preoccupied with gay marriage, the government is happily screwing us.

All handouts should be done at a local level.  If you need help, you should first try to get your family to help you.  If your family knows that you are a lazy, good for nothing, worthless, piece of crap, capable of supporting himself and they decide NOT to help you, then you can try your friends.  If your friends know that you are a lazy, good for nothing, worthless, piece of crap, capable of supporting himself and they decide NOT to help you, then you can try your church or some other charity group.  If your church or other charity group knows that you are a lazy, good for nothing, worthless, piece of crap, capable of supporting himself and they decide NOT to help you, then you deserve to die in order to prevent you from leeching off of hard working Americans. 

Our economy would be in a much better shape if the government did not spend money on benefits people may or may not deserve.  There's no reason for this country to be trillion of dollars in debt.  There's no reason for this country to be in a situation where the government finds it necessary to take a percentage of your savings in order to bail out your bank.  Let the bank fail and let the insurance kick in.
