In reality it is common knowledge that being an artist is a difficult job to come by and being an major in it means that you are only trained to do that. So I think it's fair game, and statistics would prove that the majority of artists don't have a job or money. Side: Sure, why not?

I don't see a reason why art students should be critized more than any other major. I mean look at some of the science or history majors. I can think of more stable art-based careers such as being the graphic designer for a company than i can for an astronomy major. Side: No, that's mean!
