If you cannot learn on your own, you sure as hell can't learn anything by going to college. Save yourself the cost and Google it.
Besides this point; What college kid hasn't killed a few hundred brain cells partying?

Partying is for hipsters and floozies.

...................Party is for those who feel like letting go... .
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
yeah, letting go of their pants, if you catch my drift! Ya floozy!
10 years ago Side: True.
Thus spawning the idea that partying is for those who can't let go without alcohol.
10 years ago Side: True.
You don't have to consume something while being at a party.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
Yeah I figured you would say that. But notice that you responded to someone talking about college students loosing brain cells at parties, so pretty obvious he was talking about alcohol (or drug consumption). If you are going to talk about parties without alcohol, it seems your initial response was irrelevant. If on the other hand, your initial response was about alcohol it seems you now made a fool of yourself by being inconsistent.

No, No, No! How will you know what to Google, what to do with what you find, how to apply what you find? I think this would be the end of civilization as we know it!
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
How will you know what to Google
Ask Google.
what to do with what you find
study it then go look for more.
how to apply what you find?
Use your brain.
10 years ago Side: True.
how'll you know what to Google unless you know something or anything about it. nobody will talk of studies and homework to Google on Google!
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

Figure out what you want to learn about and then search it in google, simple.
You can learn about many things simply by searching a single word even.

The internet is filled with idiots.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
So is the real world, what's your point?
10 years ago Side: True.
Professional intellectuals are not usually idiots, when it comes to the fields that they study.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
The information that those intellectuals come up with is most likely put on the internet.
10 years ago Side: True.
Not everyone on the internet is idiotic. However, most people are. The internet just gives idiots a stronger voice than the intellectuals.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
I can name several examples where the "professional intellects" are idiots. One example is as follows.
Farm manager lost family farm while setting record breaking yields. He spent more doing this than what the return was.
The more one is educated the less common sense they have.

Did you read what I wrote? I clearly said that they are good in their field. That does not mean that they are smart in other fields.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
I read it and pointed out that those that can't do teach.

Can you set up a highly complex experiment to determine whether quantum theory is false or not?
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
No, there still is a need for colledge. You acctually learn stuff in colledge, if it works. The main problem in schoold is grading. Eveyone is to concerned about their grade to learn.

It's still one of the good place connecting with real people in a community, make friends and study together in a group.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
college is not only studying. basicly college is formation of personality, and then a little bit study
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
Someone who thinks that you can understand everything by googling is someone who has never studied anything beyond the most superficial level.
10 years ago Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
Yea...no, wouldn't work. When you go in for a job interview and they ask you about your schooling and credentials and you say you have vast knowledge and experience on how to google everything, I'd love to see that.
