Why is it that people like government so much?

The people hire the politicians so that the people can:

  • obtain security without managing it.
  • obtain action without thinking about it.
  • inflict theft, injury, and death upon others without having to contemplate either life or death.
  • avoid responsibility for their own intentions.
  • obtain the benefits of reality and science without exerting themselves in the discipline of facing or learning either of these things.

They give the politicians the power to create and manage a war machine to:

  • provide for the survival of the nation/womb.
  • prevent encroachment of anything upon the nation/womb.
  • destroy the enemy who threatens the nation/womb.
  • destroy those citizens of their own country who do not conform for the sake of stability of the nation/womb.

Politicians hold many quasi-military jobs, the lowest being the police which are soldiers, the attorneys and C.P.A.s next who are spies and saboteurs (licensed), and the judges who shout orders and run the closed union military shop for whatever the market will bear. The generals are industrialists. The "presidential" level of commander-in-chief is shared by the international bankers. The people know that they have created this farce and financed it with their own taxes (consent), but they would rather knuckle under than be the hypocrite.

Thus, a nation becomes divided into two very distinct parts, a docile sub-nation [great silent majority] and a political sub-nation. The political sub-nation remains attached to the docile sub-nation, tolerates it, and leaches its substance until it grows strong enough to detach itself and then devour its parent.

Everybody in the world is in a gang. The government is a gang.. your community is a gang.. your race is a gang, your religion is a gang, your neighbourhood is a gang. The government is a gang which..in a democracy.. you have authorised power to control other gangs such as police, army, state lawyers, judges etc. etc. Back in the old days gangs used to fight it out to gain power i.e. Tudors and Stuarts.. nowadays gangs are chosen to manage other gangs. They have to pay protection money (tax) and if they don't follow their rules (laws) they're sent to jail.

If it wasn't the current government.. it would only be another gang, type of gang or w.e that would take over and lead a country forwards...

^^ I call this the Gang Theory or GT for short. :D

I don't want the government taking care of me. Maybe I should become a politician ;)

People like government because it's way better than the nasty brutish state of nature.

Government maintains national security, enforces laws, protects human rights, prevents monopolies, provides public goods, regulates the economy, protects the environment, etc, etc. These things benefit us all greatly.

Side: State of Nature Sux

People like things that are structured and the government is that. Imagine our country if each of us had to figure out our fair share of taxes without the charts to go by. We really have no idea how our government works and what they do in order to keep a well structured society in the land. It's a easy as 1-2-3. They figure stuff out and we pay for the thousands of things they have figured out for us in order to live successfully.

Side: State of Nature Sux

But how do we know if we are paying the appropriate amount. Here, I tell you what, let me handle your finances for you so that you don't have to. You can trust me ;)

hm... so how much exactly do you think it would cost you personally to buy police, firemen, teachers for your kids, the roads you drive on, and a military to stop another military from taking it all away whenever they want?

Unless you're Bill Gates I think you're getting a pretty good deal.

Not that much and not all. Base on my experience, I like government how it runs the country but not at all times.Sometimes government is unfair, dirty, and corrupted. Its not perfect, people blame it why they experience ultimate poverty. Maybe because politician uses her/his power in governing us in a wrong way. Today's college students need debt relief more than ever, and economic mismanagement is short changing our future leaders.
