It is hard to give money with stories like this. I have no doubt the people who are mentally ill need help. I have no doubt that some people are just a little stuck in a bad situation. But I'm not going to give cash to someone who has a 50-50 chance of buying drugs with it.

I'm a conservative under 30, what do you expect? I care very very little about what someone might call offensive if there is truth to what I am saying. People go through hell to get to this country because of the opportunity we have here. I have nothing against the poor as you keep saying. I have a problem with homeless people on the same block as 15 business that are hiring minimum wage jobs. Of course people may need a little help to get from homelessness to a minimum wage job. I get that, what I don't see is me giving out money on the street corner getting anyone any closer to that. Giving the same money to a shelter makes much more sense...

Agreed, well played video. I just think people in the west have been given good reason to question the homeless. There is enough opportunity here that other people's poor are killing each other to get in here, even at the severe disadvantage of not speaking the language and not having documentation... Some homeless person who speaks English and has ID can't find SOMETHING... I don't think so. It seems like our homeless are usually there because of alcoholism, or drug use, giving them money doesn't do any good. Donating to shelters and treatment programs do.
