Should we forgive the pope for saying the F-word?

An unfortunate slip of the holy tongue: Pope Francis says the F-word

With millions of people hanging on his every word, it was a slip-up Pope Francis would really have preferred not making. While giving his weekly blessing from the Vatican on Sunday, the Argentine-born pontiff mistakenly uttered the word "fuck" in Italian.

I don't think he said the whole word. I think he just said, "Fuuuuu...." ;)

At least he didn't say "God damn it!" ;)

I bet 10 minutes with google could show a dozen public figures who have done worse things in recent months.

Did he at least say, "Holy fu--"?

Side: Didn't use God's name in vain.

I think he was reading a prepared speech and he then got confused and declared, "WTF?" ;)

Side: Didn't use God's name in vain.

Fuck yes, motherfucker! Just kidding, but on the real, everyone makes mistakes. ;)

Side: Didn't use God's name in vain.

Because everyone who ever says the F-word in their life is never forgiven... in fact, if you have ever said the F-word, you wont get into heaven. (Sarcasm!)

Side: Didn't use God's name in vain.

We can sprinkle him with holy water and if he catches fire, we'll have our answer ;)

He's God's personal representative here on Earth. His right hand man. He can't go around screwing up ;)

I agree with your second sentence, considering his unearned position. One might want to maintain a superior holiness when the world is of a tradition to assume blindly that you have a special connection with Jesus despite the lack of direct divine appointment.
