As I understand the bible Adam for sure was just an experiment God wanted to see if his creation would listen and obey him or go their own way. WELL we got the answer to that question and little seems to have changed since that day.

I do however ask myself the question could we make our world better than it has been with all the billions of dollars we are sinking into the space program. Could we use that money to further educate people here on planet Earth in an effort to eliminate the status quote of greed. I was encouraged by a program called the Genesis Project which had vast new innovative ways to look at the future and future technology here on earth for example growing food on top of skyscraper buildings across the country which would cut down on the cost of transferring the same foods from farms to cities and that was only one of the many ideas that I thought was viable for the upcoming future.

Government officials could and would still talk with one another that is how they came to sign an agreement to end the war it would've been a simple matter to contact the government officials and either send them a video of the devastation they would be facing or invite them to a neutral country where the demonstration can be performed.

It is clearly doubtful that there would have been a retaliation since it took so long to develop such technology and America was clearly among the first to develop such a devastating weapon.

I agree with you and the dropping of the two atomic bombs. It was a historical program talking about this incident and that the scientists who created these atomic bombs wrote up a petition where all the other scientist signed requesting that the president, United States demonstrate this bomb before dropping it on people but they were not listened to and the bombs were dropped anyway. The program also stated that before the bombs were dropped United States was aware that Japan was nearly ready to fall. The historical program I was watching indicated they had young people flying those kamikaze airplane and it was clear from the historical video that these kids didn't want to die they were however instructed by their Samurai leader to kill themselves in an effort to fight back against America.

Fighting a war is bad enough with the death and injuries sustained by people in war is horrible but when we removed all restraints and we begin to kill mothers, fathers, babies then what kind of people have we become?

I don't know that we are devolving so much as I feel were not improving. We are the same being as we were with Adam and Eve. Throughout man's history just really how different are we from all the generations that have come before us? Certainly technology has changed and that we are more advanced than at any other time in human history yet and still our behavior can be compared to similar behaviors starting with the Egyptians right on up to modern day times. We still have a society that requires people at the top to dictate to people who are not at the top. Sporting events which took place in arenas are still done so today. Some of the events in the past were brutal as if modern-day man doesn't have cage matches. They have always been the wealthy and no different in modern day times the wealthy and the poor. Years past there have always been bias, jealousy, greed does any of these things sound out of place in modern day times? Mankind has always been the most intelligent beings on the planet and technologically that is true but based on our human relationships it seems we have not progressed almost at all.

Since we are making a comparison between firearms and motor vehicles I suggest we get rid of all motor vehicles and increase the number of firearms. I believe this would be a significant test in determining how the economy will fair under such conditions.

I agree with your position. I would further like to add it has been said that in America there is a gun for every man woman and child so I take it there have been guns in America for a while now. If that being so and we talk about people need to be armed and we will have all is this peace then my question is where was all of this peace when we had Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, Aurora Theater killer, Dylan roof etc.?
