what DKCairns said, except it also makes sense logically (in reference to evolution and survival), as if 99% of women die, it will take a long time to repopulate, whereas even one man can repopulate the species, so they are far more expendable. i think the whole idea of evacuating women and children first is entirely due to chivalry, but it does have an underlying support. Side: True.

This was prevalent in the age of chivalry, a time when it was honorable to save the women and children first, when the captain went down with his ship and men who were disgraced fell on their swords. Times have changed and things like chivalry and common sense have died and no one came to the funeral. Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

Honestly I had no idea that this happened, but I think that evacuating children first is totally acceptable. After all, they have their lives ahead of them and would be the first to die in case of disaster. Then both women and men should be evacuated. This happened in olden times, but I'm fairly sure this barely happens now, if at all. Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
I agree. Both children and elderly people. They're both more vulnerable than typically much stronger 20-50 year old adults. And yes, I believe it was based on chivalry originally for women and children to evacuate first. I'm assuming women were involved due to the fact they were seen as inferior, but that's just how I see it. But men want to not die just as much as women, so quite honestly they should go out at the same time if they're 20-50 lol. Side: Wait..., what? No!!!
